Choosing a food-logging workflow for a coaching business

Wolfpack · Published · Updated

Start with a purpose, not a feature

Before enabling food logging, decide what question the record is intended to help a qualified coach and member discuss. More entries do not automatically mean better support. Explain what is optional, what feedback is available and how the information will be used. Members should not be led to expect a personalised clinical service from a generic logging screen.

Check the effort and the privacy

Try the workflow on a phone with fictional entries. A form that is manageable once may be burdensome when repeated. Check who can see entries and whether any detail appears in notifications or shared spaces. Ask how members can correct mistakes and what happens to access when coaching relationships change.

Decide whether it earns its place

If nobody reviews the information or members do not understand why it is requested, reconsider the workflow before adding more reminders. Software should support an agreed service rather than generate a new administrative obligation. Read staff permissions and member app adoption for related evaluation steps.
